iPhone 4: Orders placed, fingers crossed

Posted on by Mike Evans

Today I tried to order iPhone 4 online but for delivery to an Apple Store. I don't like courier deliveries because I'm never in to receive them. But no luck, no orders to delivery to stores.

Then, on a visit to the White City store in West London, I found the order system would work from an in-store computer. I could order one, and one only for future delivery to the store. The snag is that I might not be in the UK when it arrives, and the offer expires after 24 hours if I haven't hot-footed it over to White City. I am now keeping my fingers crossed that the "three weeks" is overly pessimistic or I will have to create Plan B.
