Surprising success of iAd: Now vying with Google for top spot
I confess I haven't paid much attention to Apple's iAd programme which was launched with much ado in July. Since then I've seen a few gloom and doom reports that iAd wasn't a success. Yet now I read in Bloomberg Businessweek that in 2010 iAd will capture 21 percent of the market and will vie with Google for top spot, three times greater than Microsoft's 7 percent. Apparently iAd has been squeezing Microsoft, Yahoo and others and it seems remarkable that for a mid-year start the programme is doing so well.
