There are times when putting pen the paper can be more effective than updating a phone or tablet task manager application. Or even opening the simplest of electronic notebooks. Kevin Purdy, writing in, makes a compelling case for keeping a notebook and pen in your pocket at all times:

Paper, but more specifically handwriting, will likely always be with us, and that’s a good thing. It’s a smoother path from your brain to the printed word, it saves you from task-switching overload, and it possibly makes the best to-do list.
