As you know, I’m a great fan of Tom Bihn’s Seattle-made bags and pouches. I’ve been using the Ristretto for the 11in MacBook Air for six months and for the past few weeks I’ve been trying out an Empire Builder briefcase. More on that later. In the meantime, Tom has introduced a custom-made, tapered pouch for the Apple wireless keyboard. This is relevant to my post yesterday, comparing an iPad and keyboard with a lightweight laptop, such as the MacBook Air.

The new Cache for Apple Wireless Keyboard is tapered to follow the wedge shape of the keyboard and, according to the press release, provides a snug, secure fit. It is made from four-ply black Taslan and is lined with soft brushed tricot. There is no noisy Velcro or zipper, the flap simply tucks into the top opening (presumably similar to the flap on the iPad or laptop compartment in the Ristretto bag).

The Cache is now on pre-order here and costs $30. It joins a wide range of pouches and accessories which can be used with any Tom Bihn luggage.
