Home office in a trunk

Posted on by Mike Evans

Back when I was a young journalist I lived in a small one-room apartment where I had to share out the space for bed, living, working. The solution was a desk called the Home Office, probably now defuct, and costing around £200. It was made from solid wood and was more or less identical to this Blackhawk Secretary Trunk which costs an eye-popping $4,295.

This article in gives you the lowdown on ways of cramming your work life into a trunk. It's a bit ugly when closed, but the Blackhawk Secretary looks the business when opened for business. However much space you have to play with, there is something really appealing about being able to close the trunk and banish all thought of toil until the next day. I want one, but cannot justify it.
