Digital Wars: Now it's Encyclopaedia Wikibritannica

Posted on by Mike Evans

The days of the Encylopaedia Britannica salesman with his foot in the door have long been over. Now the multi-volume reference work has bitten the digital dust along with the sharp-suited reps. In future, EB will be available only as a digital edition. You will be able to have the entire work stored on your Kindle along with the rest of your library. Hardly a day goes by without some fresh evidence of the demise of the dead-tree book. Export more howls and squeals from the mortally wounded Luddites.
