MacBook Pro: 4,000 sandy bridges and 64TB RAM?

Posted on by Mike Evans

While we are all sounding off about the performance of the new MacBook Pro, let’s spare a thought for Stephen Hawkins’ latest computer. His “Big Brain” has 4,096 Intel Sandy Bridge cores and as much as 64 terabytes of memory. It starts at a modest £20,000, only six or seven times more expensive than a top-spec ThinBook Pro. Maybe next year I’ll trade in my MacBook Air.
