eBooks are changing the face of publishing in more ways than the obvious stampede away from physical volumes. Glaswegian author Denise Mina predicts a fiction revolution as self-publishing loosens the grip of publishers.

She says that ebooks will revolutionise everything, from book lengths to the dominance of middle-class authors. Mina, winner of the Theakston Old Peculiar[1] Crime Novel of the Year award, says that people in publishing are very frightened at the moment.
