iPad Mini: Big iPod touch, not smaller iPad
We are no longer wondering if there will be an iPad Mini, or whatever it is called. All the rumours now accept it as fact and all that has to be discussed is the form it will take.
Many are suggesting that from leaked information we will be getting a big iPod touch instead of a small iPad. I like this. I've long admired the iPod touch because of its thinness and form factor; but there is no point in having one because it exactly duplicates the function of the iPhone, sans phone.
A thin, narrow-bezel seven-inch tablet is probably just what I have been looking for. My current iPad will become housebound and the new beast will be a perfect traveling companion.
