Leica C: Initial results impress
I am currently testing the new Leica C compact which is virtually identical to Panasonic's LF1 and am liking what I see. This is a camera with a very small sensor (the same size, incidentally, as the sensor in Leica's ten-year-old Digilux 2 and identical to that in the current D-Lux 6) but impressive results. For reproduction at this size for a web page the detail is superb. Full test when I have gained more experience.
The C's unique selling point is the built-in viewfinder. It isn't the best viewfinder but it is certainly the best in a camera this size. I find myself using it almost exclusively in preference to the rear screen. For anyone used to viewfinder photography this is the natural choice, if not the only choice.
