Cathedral Photo Store: Nearer my Leica to thee
Not only did the Germans build an ugly railway station cheek by jowl with the wonderful Cathedral, they have allowed a camera shop which appears to be attached to the fabric of the church. I must have seen this before ― it has obviously been there for decades ― but hadn't realised the incongruity. Is it the most holy of Leica stores? Inside is a remarkable collection of old German cameras, from Agfa to Voigtlaender and Zeiss but nothing much in the way of Leica except for some secondhand Ms and a new X and T ranges. Still, it's worth a visit.
