Apple opens new Regent Street Store
Apart from the trees and the busloads of blue-shirted staff, the most remarkable thing about this new iteration of Apple Stores is the lack of tethering. As far as I can see, anyone could just pick up and iPad and walk off with it. There were Apple Pencils lying around for anyone to scoop up. I have no doubt there is some fiendish security which raises the alarm of a display product passes the door. Finally, you realise the trademark glass staircases have disappeared in favour of much more tasteful marble steps.
